ETHICAL KIT_

At XXV Sportswear we recognise the responsibility that we hold to buy, produce, and sell our products in an ethical, legal, and socially responsible manner.

Our Ethical Trading Policy is a core element of this commitment and extends to all other associated external resources with which we choose to do business.

GOOD LABOUR STANDARDS

Labour standards are based on the convention of the International Labour Organisation (ILO).

No forced, indentured or prison labour is used.

Any worker shall not be forced to remain in employment for any period of time against their will.

SAFE & HYGIENIC WORKING CONDITIONS

A safe and hygienic working environment must be provided with all steps taken to minimise any risk of accident or hazard to health.

An employee of the factory must be assigned responsibility or Health & Safety and all workers shall receive regular training.

Access must be provided for toilet facilities and portable water. Any accommodation where provided shall be clean and safe.

LIVING WAGES ARE PAID

Deductions from wages as a disciplinary measure shall not be permitted nor shall any deductions from wages not provided for by national law be permitted without the expressed permission for the worker concerned. All disciplinary measures should be recorded.

WE WON’T DISCRIMINATE

Workers shall be employed on the basis of their ability to do the job, not on the basis of their personal characteristics or beliefs.

Workers will be hired on their ability to do the job without regards to race, caste, colour, gender, nationality, religion, age, maternity or marital status.

All disciplinary measures will be recorded.

NO CHILD LABOUR

There shall be no employment of child labour.

Workers must meet the applicable minimum legal age requirement or be at least 16 years of age, whichever is the greater.

All policies and procedures must follow ILO standards.

WORKING HOURS ARE NOT EXCESSIVE

Working hours shall comply with national laws, but shall not exceed on a regular basis more than 48 hours per week with at least one day off.

Any overtime shall be voluntary and not demanded.

No deductions of wages may occur by way of a disciplinary measure.

NO HARSH OR INHUMANE TREATMENT IS ALLOWED

Workers shall be treated with respect and dignity and not treated punitively or inhumanly.

Physical or physiological force must not be used.

ENVIRONMENTAL LAWS MUST BE MET

Factories must comply with all applicable environmental laws and regulations.

Factories must strive to reduce their carbon footprint through the use of renewable energy’s and focus on reducing their negative impact on the environment.

We will purchase goods and services to the highest standards of ethical and environmental trade practices to include the provision of safe working conditions and the protection of workers across our supply chain.

XXV products are manufactured by a small number of factories and suppliers, primarily located in the UK and Europe. Our factories are visited twice yearly by a member of the senior management team to ensure that they are committed to complying with our code of conduct.

We are committed to ensuring that all dealings with our suppliers, from the point of search and selection, through to supply and payment, are conducted in accordance with the guiding principles of responsible and ethical trading. At a minimum, our suppliers and sites must comply with the requirements of all local and international environmental laws and regulations, including having all necessary permits. Additionally, they must meet all relevant XXV environmental standards.

Customers of XXV can be assured that the people who are involved in the process of making our products are treated fairly and are not subjected to unsafe or unhygienic working conditions. We strongly believe that by having ethical standards in place, employee wellbeing, productivity, and quality, are all significantly improved.
